Llandudno First Responders are Volunteers who give their time freely to help save the lives of others in the community. Supported by the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust aim to work alongside the ambulance service when there is a possible delay in reaching an injuried party or casualty. First Responders don't quash the need of an ambulance, it is possible that a responder can get to the casualty or the scene in less time than the ambulance can. This advanatage means that the casualty can receive emergency aid quicker. In the event of a Cardiac Arrest the patient ideally needs to be given emergency aid in the first few minutes after an attack. Every minute lost reduces the chances of a survival. The menu on the left will tell you a bit more about us and what we as first responders do. |
